Sim from the browser

The same sim interface in your browser. Sign in with your member token; with a machine of yours in the pool your sims run there, without one they run in your browser tab.

Not at your PC? https://simhive.app/sim is the sim interface on the web: sign in with your member token, paste a character, sim. The run goes to the pool as yours, same queue, same standing.

With a machine of yours connected to the pool (paused is fine), your sims run on the pool, as fast as from the app.

Without one, the page sims in your browser tab, on your computer only — not on the pool. Nothing to install, and not even a token needed: open the sim page and sim as a guest. A guest's results are kept for a day, cannot be published, and a guest can start 20 sims an hour. Get a token — you are signed in right away — to keep results in your History and publish them. It is much slower (minutes where the pool takes seconds), the tab has to stay open until the sim is done, and it is limited: a Droptimizer covers one source at a time (one raid on one difficulty, all dungeons, the delves, crafted gear…), other sims up to 40 items or points, and Compare, Mythic+ routes and tank fights need the pool. That is the deal: the pool's speed is what lending a machine gets you (every way to sim without lending). It needs Chrome, Edge or Firefox; Safari cannot run it yet.

Signing in #

The token is the password. It is under Settings → This machine in the app, Show or Copy next to Your token, or on the join page if you got it there — joining also signs you in on that browser. Nothing else to create.

Where the result goes #

The result goes to your browser and into the History of your connected Simhive machine, with its raw output. If none is connected when the sim finishes, the pool holds the result until one of your machines next connects and takes it, for at most 48 hours — a sim from your browser tab for 24 hours; "Save report" and Publish work from the browser meanwhile. After that it is gone from the pool (a published link lives its own 14 days). Docker members with the interface on keep it too; a worker-only container has no History to keep it in.

Faster: lend a machine #

Start Simhive (or your Docker container) on one of your machines with the same token; a minute later your sims from the page run on the pool instead of in your tab. In Safari, which cannot sim in a tab yet, a connected machine is the only way to sim here.
